Light The Night Walk is a fundraising campaign of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) which brings together families and communities to honor blood cancer survivors, as well as those lost to the diseases, and shine a light on the importance of finding cures and providing access to treatments for blood cancer patients.
Friends, families and co-workers form fundraising teams, and millions of consumers help by donating at retail outlets. These efforts culminate in inspirational, memorable evening walks in nearly two hundred communities each fall across North America.
The funds raised by Light The Night participants will help advance more breakthrough therapies for blood cancer patients like targeted therapies that zero in on cancer cells and kill them. And immunotherapies that use a patients' own immune system to kill cancer.
Since 1949 The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as existed to find cures and ensure access to treatments for blood cancer patients. Breakthroughs like targeted therapies that zero in on cancer cells and kill them and immunotherapies that use a patient's own immune system to kill cancer are LLS supported advancements that have been saving thousands of lives.
There are now some blood cancers that can be controlled with just a pill a day. Advancements like these were unheard of just 25 years ago. But thanks to campaigns like Light The Night thousands of lives are being saved not someday, but today.
It's Fun
